From explaining how to hold and use a writing brush to write basic strokes, words, and sentences, students will also learn to appreciate the beauty of Chinese calligraphy and create works. Even those who have never experienced Chinese calligraphy are welcome to participate and will gain practical skills that will empower them to make their calligraphic pieces.

Students' feedback 💬

  • Calligraphy allows me to calm down and relieve stress amidst my busy studies and fast pace of life.

    Bonnie Wu|Secondary school student

  • When writing calligraphy, I have to write slowly and pay attention to the space and structure of each word. It makes me more attentive without realizing it, and my mood calms me.

    Charlie Chan|OL

  • For me, calligraphy includes moving lines and a quiet heart. In addition to learning from horizontal and vertical strokes, Ms. Yip teaches students to appreciate the works. Now, every time I pick up paper, pen, ink, and stickers, I enjoy them.

    Minnie Wong|Retired surveyor

  • When I pay close attention to the fonts, structures, and characteristics of different calligraphy styles, I realize the beauty of calligraphy. After practicing through Ms. Yip's guidance and suggestions, I gained some understanding and improvement, which was very satisfying.
