About me
Hi everyone! Welcome to rubyyip.calligraphy.com!
I am a Hong Kong Chinese calligraphy artist. I have been learning Chinese calligraphy since 2016. I have studied the Seal, Clerical, Regular, Running, and Cursive scripts.
I love sharing my calligraphy work through my class and exhibitions. My works have been exhibited at the Hong Kong Cultural Center, Hong Kong Central Library, shopping malls, and other places. I am also a Chinese calligraphy tutor. My student groups range from children to older people. In addition to private calligraphy classes, we co-organize calligraphy courses and art workshops with schools, business parties, and community groups. Commercial brands we have cooperated with include FENDI, fresh, Loro Piana, PayPal, and VERSACE...
Express your feelings with brushing pen and ink
As paper printing technology advances and artificial intelligence technology develops rapidly, what is the value of calligraphy art today? Is it an emotion that can only be conveyed by handwriting? Is it a form of self-healing when you focus on writing? Or the profound joy that comes from creating something personal and uniquely yours?
Learning Chinese calligraphy is not just about writing beautiful words but also about discovering the beauty around us. We glimpse the beauty of art in the classic works of the ancients and then reinterpret and express our ideas in different ways. Concentrating and investing in paper, brushing pen, and ink during creation has become a rare and beautiful moment in our daily lives. In the digital age, sitting down, telling stories, and expressing feelings with pen and ink is not just romantic, it's a nostalgic reminder of the warmth that can only be conveyed by handwritten words.
How rich your imagination is, how vast the sky is
The world is constantly changing, and the requirements for personal knowledge and skills are becoming more and more diverse. Therefore, being skillful in one skill or devoting oneself to a single industry is not the only option for our career choice. People have diverse talents, so there is more than one career path. Continue to learn new things, stay curious about the world, actively use your imagination, get to know yourself, and explore your talents in one action after another; you will meet more talented people and the vast sky.
